South East intrapreneurship project has its kickoff meeting

The EU funded study into intrapreneurship in the Ireland South East region had its kickoff meeting today. Hosted by consultants AARC, the meeting was attended by representatives from across the business ecosystem in the region including the Local Enterprise Offices, the South East Business Innovation Centre, Enterprise Ireland, and IDA Ireland along with private industry stakeholders. The project consortium includes many experts and thought leaders in the field of intrapreneurship and entrepreneurship including Ron Immink, Dr. Declan Curran (DCU), and Dr. Chris Van Egeraat (NUI Maynooth).

The study is using the South East as a testbed to investigate levels of intrapreneurship in multi-nationals, large indigenous companies and SMEs across all sectors including Life Sciences, Engineering, ICT, Agri, and Financial Services. The study aims to establish what good practices should be put in place to optimise levels of intrapreneurial performance within companies thus making companies more competitive and resilient. The results of the project can then be rolled out nationally and across the EU.
