Buttimer Engineering named Tipperary’s Business of the Year

Buttimer Engineering, a mechanical engineering firm, was named Tipperary’s Business of the Year at the Tipperary Chamber of Commerce’s annual awards ceremony.

The awards received the most applications ever received.

Buttimer Engineering, which won the top award sponsored by Boston Scientific, is a multi-faceted company that specializes in bulk materials handling systems and high-quality steel fabrication. They are based in Cahir, Co Tipperary, and serve clients in Ireland, the United Kingdom, and Europe. Over the last 40 years, the company has grown to employ more than 100 people.

Their application impressed judges as it illustrated a remarkable strategy in the areas of innovation, growth, value proposition to its customers and its contribution to the region.
