Demos of Mixed Reality Technologies in Dungarvan on 21st June 2023

Learn the basics of virtual and augmented reality technologies and how they can be practically applied to your organisation in an open demonstration workshop at Dungarvan Enterprise Centre on 21st June 2023.

The Mixed Reality Research Group in Walton Institute, SETU will provide an open demonstration workshop at Dungarvan Enterprise Centre on 21st June 2023 to try out virtual and augmented reality equipment. Attendees will gain an insight into the diverse commercial applications and how such technologies can be utilised in their business.

The workshop will be very informal giving attendees an opportunity to freely chat to technical experts in this space, try various mixed reality equipment and experience its broad potential first hand.

The event is free and people are welcome to pop in at any time between 10:30 and 13:00. If you are interested in investigating the use of mixed reality within your organisation, the Enterprise Ireland Technology Gateway team in Walton Institute will be on hand to guide you through funding options available.

Meet the Mixed Reality experts

Meet and gain information on the potential application of virtual and augmented reality with the following experts and gain an insight into potential funding available from national agencies for such initiatives.

Stephen Barnes, Mixed Reality Technical Expert. Stephen works with companies daily offering advice and insights into the many applications that can be implemented through immersive technologies. Stephen will be available for one to one discussions during the workshop for individuals wanting to discuss and try some demonstrators.

Daniel Hickey, Mixed Reality Developer. Daniel will provide mixed reality demonstrations to any individuals that have an interest to gain an insight into the difference between virtual and augmented reality and their potential uses.

Jim Prendergast, Technology Gateway Business Development Engineer. Individuals with an idea or are interested in implementing mixed reality technologies to their companies can chat to Jim to find out more about Enterprise Ireland funding available, enabling them to investigate such creative ideas further.
