200 employees required as NUA Manufacturing opens at former Braun site in Carlow
Glenveagh Properties are now recruiting for 200 new jobs in Co Carlow thanks to their new manufacturing site, NUA Manufacturing, at the former Braun factory in the town.
NUA Manufacturing, based in Rathnapish, was officially opened by the homebuilders today.
The new timber frame and steel frame manufacturing facility will create 200 new jobs in Co Carlow.
Glenveagh Properties said the new facility will increase its overall delivery capability and accelerate the supply of new homes.
NUA is owned by Glenveagh Properties, one of the biggest home-builders in the country, and the pre-made homes will be sent to the construction firm’s sites.
NUA Manufacturing Director John McLoughlin praised Carlow as the perfect location for the new manufacturing facility.
“It’s really accessible. It’s got fantastic access to the motorway, it’s got a really good college and fantastic local authority who were really driven and passionate,” he said.
Glenveagh Properties bought the former Braun factory in Carlow town two years ago and have invested €50 million into the site to turn it into a production facility to make timber frames and light gauge steel frames.
NUA is leading the innovation revolution in modern methods of construction for Ireland’s homes of tomorrow.
