Glenveagh properties ready to start production in first half of 2023 at landmark Braun site in Carlow

Glenveagh properties, a leading Irish homebuilder, say they’re hoping to be operational at the Braun site in Carlow town in early 2023.

The company intend to use the site as a timber production facility and are currently renovating the site from the inside having purchased it in 2021.

According to a a report from KCLR FM, Commercial Director Ger Kiely says it will be a slow start but they hope to get up to speed as soon as possible:

“By the end of 2023 we hope to be at a quite, I won’t say at a full capacity, out of the facility, But we hope to be there or thereabouts”

It is hoped the company’s multi-million enterprise will result in significant job creation at its new Carlow-based production outlet.

Glenveagh previously made reference to the importance of the Carlow site to its company growth, stating:

“The group is investing further in the supply chain, starting with a €16 million investment in additional timber frame and soil-recovery facilities.

“The timber frame facility will be strategically located within our suburban south region to better serve our expanding network of construction sites throughout the country. The purchase of this facility will be completed in the coming weeks and will be operational from 2023. When combined with our existing Dundalk facility, the group will facilitate the manufacture of approximately 2,000 timber frames by 2024.”
