Innovative companies in Ireland South East – PlantQuest
CEO Ger Carton describes PlantQuest as:

Ger Carton co-founded PlantQuest with Tom Daly in 2018 in Waterford.
They developed an asset location solution after extensive research that can locate any fixed asset in a facility and bring it directly to the work location with pinpoint accuracy. PlantQuests’ algorithm-based system is unique in that it operates completely independent of any signals such as GPS, Bluetooth, WIFI, and 4G, which means no costly telecoms infrastructure installation or maintenance. The user-friendly interface of PlantQuest guides workers to their work location with pinpoint accuracy, eliminating the need to interpret complex engineering drawings such as P&ID, Layout, and Isometrics.
Carton said:
“Tom has always worked in the engineering space and has a passion for physics. He is the technical side of the business,”
“Similar to me, he has a passion for the problem we are trying to solve, having first-hand experience of it.”
PlantQuest can be used throughout all phases of a project, from construction to commissioning and finally to operations, to ensure safe and efficient project delivery and increased output.
PlantQuest is currently developing integrations to incorporate its cutting-edge technology into systems such as Enterprise Asset Management, Enterprise Resource Planning, and Permit to Work/Risk Assessment.
