A new programme called StartX has been launched by South East Technological University (SETU) that addresses the need for strengthened innovation and entrepreneurship in the south east region. The programme will support four cohorts of ambitious early-stage innovators with pre-accelerator programmes running between March and May 2024.
Data Science & Artificial Intelligence start-up Zerve has raised $3.8 million in pre-seed funding. Based in Clonmel the company was set up in 2021 by Philly Hayes, Jason Hillary and Greg Michaelson.

Final approval has been reached for the South East Technological University to conclude the purchase of the Waterford Crystal site in Waterford. SETU will now sign final contracts to purchase 20.3 acres of the 37-acre Waterford Crystal site.
