Energia Renewables meets with the South East Offshore Wind Partnership
Managing Director of Energia Renewables Peter Baillie was invited to speak to the South East Offshore Wind Partnership last week at Kilkenny County Chamber.
In his informative talk to the members of the partnership Peter outlined the critical need for clarity on the pipeline of projects to come from the South Coast DMap and to establish energy demand through economic activity. Outlining the context for the next phase of offshore wind development in the South East, Peter said:
It’s clear to everyone involved, for the offshore industry to develop and supply chain to grow, a credible pipeline of projects and significant demand growth is essential to underpin investments at every stage of development.
The Ireland South East Offshore Wind Partnership brings together key stakeholders from the region’s economic ecosystem to ensure that offshore wind is at the heart of our future economic development. The partnership enables meaningful engagement between the ports, the airport, local authorities, industry and enterprise agencies alongside the Higher Education and Training Institutes and Skills Forum.
Peter added:
I was delighted to meet with the Partnership and to see the huge amount of work they’re undertaking to maximise the economic benefits of offshore wind for the region. Thank you to members of the South East Offshore Partnership for the invitation and well done on raising the South East’s profile ahead of ORESS Tonn Nua and beyond”.
