Screen South East event to explore opportunities in film and television
Free Wexford event will bring together workshops, expert panels and crew networking on Saturday 21 November.
People interested in working in film and television are invited to Screen South East, a free event taking place at the Jerome Hynes Theatre, National Opera House, Wexford, on Saturday 21 November 2026, from 11am to 5pm.
Organised by Screen Waterford, Screen Wexford, Screen Kilkenny and YIFM, with support from the National Talent Academies and the National Opera House, the event will explore routes into the screen sector, with a particular focus on how existing skills can transfer into film and television.
The programme will feature workshops and discussions offering practical insights into training, career pathways and industry opportunities. Two panel discussions will bring together screen-sector stakeholders and professionals to explore training routes and the skills people can bring from other industries.
The day will conclude with a networking session, giving participants an opportunity to meet creative peers from across the South East, representatives of the National Talent Academies and other industry stakeholders. Attendees are encouraged to bring contact details and register on Screen Ireland’s ScreenCrew and Services Database.
The event is open to anyone interested in working in the screen sector, including emerging talent, existing crew and people considering a career change. Full workshop details and panel line-ups will be announced shortly.
Admission is free, but advance registration is required. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Completed RSVPs must be received by 12 noon on Monday 9 November 2026, or before the event reaches capacity.
