Building Net Zero – HPBA’s Net Zero Construction Symposium 2026
Industry leaders, policymakers and practitioners from across the built environment will come together in Wexford this January, 2026 for the High Performance Building Alliance ‘Net Zero Construction Symposium’, focused on the challenges and opportunities in delivering a low-carbon, sustainable construction sector.
The event will provide a platform for discussion and debate on Modern Methods of Construction (MMC), biobased materials, circular construction, and the evolving skills landscape required to support the transition to net zero. With construction playing a critical role in meeting climate targets, the symposium will explore practical solutions, innovation and collaboration across the sector.
Confirmed speakers include Oluwasegun Seriki of Construction Cluster Ireland, Joanne White of Women in Construction Ireland, and Stephen Barry Hannon of Bio-Direct 2.0, alongside contributions from Local Enterprise Office Wexford, Waterford and Wexford Education and Training Board (WWETB), and a broad range of stakeholders from across the Irish built environment.

Location: Talbot Hotel, Wexford
The symposium will take place in Wexford, offering attendees an opportunity to engage directly with industry experts, share insights, and contribute to shaping a more sustainable future for construction in Ireland.
To support attendees travelling to the event, a special bed and breakfast rate of €119 has been secured at the Talbot Hotel Wexford for the night of Monday, 20 January. To avail of this rate, participants should contact the hotel directly and quote HPBA at the time of booking.
The attendance fee is €75, with a reduced rate of €25 for HPBA members.
