Carlow company, Stryve, aiming to double its workforce over the next year

Stryve, a Carlow-based cloud and cyber security firm, has recently won a large contract with the Polish prison service after opening an office in the country.

Stryve is an ISO 27001 certified expert in Cloud Computing and Information Security. With datacentres in Ireland, the UK and Poland, they deliver proven enterprise cloud solutions to help customer do business faster, smarter and with greater simplicity. Stryve is one of only a handful of enterprises in Europe that has built its own private cloud infrastructure

They also hope to nearly double their current workforce of 25 people in the next year or so.

In August, the company was certified carbon neutral by German auditing firm Climate Partners. Stryve uses green energy to power its data centres in Cork and Warsaw, and has another centre under development in the UK.

Around 50pc of its new business in Poland is government-based, with other opportunities coming from larger SMEs and scaling SMEs.
