GreenTechHQ Announces Continuation of Two SME Supports Driving Sustainable Growth in the South East
GreenTechHQ, the South East’s centre of expertise for business, innovation, sustainability and AI, has announced the continuation of two major SME supports: Phase Two of the BASSE programme, funded by Enterprise Ireland, and AIB’s SME Sustainability Sponsorship Programme, delivered in partnership with the hub.
The announcement coincides with the launch of BASSE 2026 – Phase Two, which was marked by a visit from An Taoiseach, Micheál Martin TD, to GreenTechHQ in Enniscorthy.
BASSE 2026: Scaling SMEs with Sustainability at the Core
BASSE (Business Advantage and Sustainability South East) is GreenTechHQ’s flagship accelerator and the first programme of its kind in Ireland to integrate commercial scaling with sustainability as a core business driver. Designed exclusively for scaling SMEs in the South East, BASSE supports ambitious companies to grow turnover, strengthen leadership capability and embed long-term resilience.
Over the next 3–5 years, BASSE is projected to create more than 300 new jobs, double participant revenues, and strengthen the sustainability performance of the region’s SME base. The programme integrates energy efficiency, carbon reduction, fair work practices and strong governance, positioning the South East as a national leader in sustainable enterprise and demonstrating that growth and responsibility can, and must, go hand in hand.
AIB Partnership Continues SME Sustainability Sponsorship
GreenTechHQ has also confirmed the continuation of AIB’s SME Sustainability Sponsorship Programme, reaffirming AIB’s long-standing commitment to supporting Irish businesses as they embed sustainability across their operations. AIB has been a partner of GreenTechHQ since its establishment in February 2023, recognising early the importance of a regional, enterprise-led model for sustainable growth.
This partnership brings together two organisations with a shared goal: enabling SMEs to become stronger, more resilient and future-ready. Through tailored training, education and practical supports delivered at GreenTechHQ, SMEs are supported to improve energy efficiency, reduce costs, strengthen governance and unlock new market opportunities.
AIB’s sustainability-focused financial products and advisory services align seamlessly with GreenTechHQ’s programmes in innovation, business excellence and ESG implementation, creating an end-to-end pathway for SMEs – from awareness and capability-building through to action and investment. Crucially, this support extends beyond the walls of the hub, ensuring meaningful outreach to businesses across the South East and beyond.
