Ireland South East is known as being a “Region of Festivals and Food.” Our festivals and events showcase the region’s diversity and vibrancy of culture all year long!
Pumpkin picking is available from October 16th to October 30th, 2021. Carve your pumpkin at the farm or bring it home to work on later.
In addition, campers and day visitors will be able to participate in a variety of evening activities such as the annual Halloween Torchlight Treasure Hunts, bonfire, marshmallow toasting, and scary maze. It is necessary to book online beforehand.

Pumpkin Picking at Ballycross Apple Farm
The Ballycross Apple Farm Pumpkin Patch & Witches Village is open and they invite you to take a short walk to the Village, meet the resident Ballycross Witch, pick your pumpkin and take a tractor ride back to the farm.

How about a ghostly woodland walk at Lafcadio Hearn Japanese Gardens – Tramore?
Entry to the gardens includes decorated Halloween Ghostly Woodlands. You will be in awe of the Witches, Ghouls, Mummies Spiders, Skeletons and Ghostly Figures with haunting sounds!

If you’re looking for something a little different you may have guessed the spooky place we’d go… Duckett’s Grove, County Carlow.
Built in the Gothic Revival style around 1745, Duckett’s Grove looks very much like a haunted castle, especially in its current ruinous state. Its tall towers, turrets, and high stacked chimneys are scary enough, nevermind the statues of faces that have slowly disappeared throughout the years. It was once the center of a 10,000-acre estate owned by the wealthy Duckett family.
There have been many stories of paranormal goings on at Duckett’s Grove. In June gone by, a group of paranormal investigators believe they captured an image of William Duckett’s ghost…… it’s the perfect place for a spooky stroll.
