Nutraceutical company Swedencare expanding its operations in Ireland South East
Swedencare AB, which acquired the Nutri-Science brand, product range and manufacturing facility in Waterford, Ireland South East in November 2016, announced today it has moved into new, larger premises, which was purchased earlier this year, in the city which it has redeveloped to more than double its capacity and secure and expand its workforce presence in Waterford.
The company supplies its world class range of nutraceutical products produced locally in Waterford for a global market. The new, 20,000 sq. ft. premises is located in Waterford Industrial Park.
Håkan Lagerberg, CEO of Swedencare AB said today: “Our new Irish Production and Logistic Centre, which will send products all over the world, is an important piece to achieve Swedencare’s long term strategy of strong growth along with good profitability. With this new state-of-the-art production facility, we will be able to swiftly fill the demand of at least double the capacity than before. It is also satisfying to give our Irish colleagues a work environment that is compatible with their own top performance. I am sure that this new work environment will boost productivity along with wellbeing!”
Brian O’Shea, Operations Manager at the Waterford facility, said: “The new premises gives us the scope to expand into the future and allows us to develop and lay out our manufacturing process and warehouse in an optimum fashion. This will lead to efficiencies of production and economies of scale. The premises’ seven-month redevelopment and re-fit programme was aimed at achieving a GMP standard.”
