Wexford Festival Opera 2022 opens tomorrow with firework display
The Wexford Festival Opera of 2022 will open tomorrow with the return of its ever-popular fireworks display after a three-year absence due to the Covid pandemic.
The spectacular fireworks display is set to music and has been one of the non-operatic highlights of the international opera festival, attracting thousands of spectators from all over the South East to Wexford quay front on the first night of the festival every year.
Wexford Festival Opera 2022 will be officially opened by the Mayor of Wexford Maura Bell at 7.15 pm on October 21 and the fireworks display, sponsored by Wexford County Council, will follow at 7.30pm.
Wexford Festival Opera will run this year from October 21 to November 6 with booking and information at wexfordopera.com.
With a unique vision, outstanding production values and spectacular setting in a beautiful small town, Wexford Festival Opera is a remarkable success story that looks set to continue for many years to come.
