SETU Conference: Opportunities for drones and UAV industries in modern Europe

The “Opportunities for Drones and UAV Industries in Modern Europe” conference will take place at the Haughton Building, South East Technological University (SETU), Carlow, on Wednesday, May 20 from 10am to 3pm.

The drone and UAV industry is playing an increasingly important role in driving innovation, digital transformation and next-generation technologies across Europe and globally. Rapid advances in unmanned aerial systems are reshaping how industries operate, creating new opportunities in areas such as data collection, automation, infrastructure monitoring, precision agriculture, logistics, public safety and emergency response.

This conference will explore the expanding role of drone and UAV technologies across a range of strategic sectors including aviation, agriculture, logistics, environmental monitoring, emergency response, surveillance and security. Discussions will focus on how emerging technologies, regulatory frameworks and research collaboration can support the safe and sustainable growth of the sector, while also examining the commercial and economic opportunities arising from increased adoption of UAV technologies.
